Celebrating the life of Rev. Daniel J. Zak

Fr. Daniel J. Zak, Senior Status Priest of the Diocese of Toledo, passed away in his sleep on July 10. Please keep him in your prayers.

“He was such a larger than life figure in the history of this parish and a spiritual teacher to so many in our community and beyond,” Fr. Jeremy said. “We pray for his eternal rest and the consolation of his family and friends.”

Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

His Legacy

Last summer, we spoke with Fr. Zak for our 50th Anniversary Video Series. He reflected on his time at Corpus Christi. From 1982 to 1994, he served as co-pastor with Fr. James Bacik.

His presence and legacy will forever be felt at Corpus Christi.
