Toledo Symphony fundraiser coming Oct. 25

Miller-Father-Jeremy-webDear Friends,

The Toledo Symphony Orchestra will be making another visit to Corpus Christi University Parish on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 8 p.m. Their performance this year has more of a contemporary feel as they feature music from the iconic John Williams. Williams is considered the greatest film composer of all time, with the feature music in classics like Star Wars, Jaws, E.T., Superman, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter and others. These scores will be performed under the baton of Alain Trudel, the new music director with the Toledo Symphony.

This is our major fundraising event of the year and is an essential part of our operating budget. Your assistance with this concert is a direct support of our parish ministry. This event provides the needed funds for our parish operations and offers us an opportunity to share in fellowship and the enjoyment of great music.

We hope you will help make this concert a success. Tickets are now on sale for $15 ($5 for UT students) after all our Masses and in the parish office during the week. If you are able, please consider becoming a sponsor or purchasing a Patron Ticket for $100 that includes the concert and a grazing dinner starting at 6 p.m. You can order tickets for the Patron Dinner and sign up for various levels of sponsorship by completing the enclosed form. This year, we are adding the opportunity for our parishioners to advertise their businesses in the program.

I’d like to offer a personal word of thanks to the Symphony Committee that works so hard to organize this special evening. Our membership in Corpus Christi University Parish is a blessing and a responsibility. This concert is a great way to further our mission and build up the Body of Christ. We invite your support and prayers for the success of this year’s concert.

Your brother in Corpus Christi,
Fr. Jeremy Miller
Pastor
